If you have not yet selected your vehicle it is a good idea to have your loan pre approved, so you can act fast when the right car comes into view. Having your finance secured can give you some bargaining power when negotiating with a salesman or a private seller.
CREDIT IMPAIRED CAR LOANS - Personal Use
Car loans are often easier to obtain compared to a personal loan, as the financier takes security over the vehicle and, accordingly, is able to be more liberal in their lending policies. If, however, you have had some credit problems in the past and have paid or unpaid defaults on your credit record, it then becomes more difficult to obtain an approval.
We can still help in this regard, even if you are a discharged bankrupt and the lenders' basic criteria is as follows;
- Must be discharged from bankruptcy
- Credit defaults must be paid, or under arrangement to be paid for at least 6 months. Proof of payment required
- No unpaid defaults from repossessions
- Minimum amount financed $8000
- Maximum age of vehicle < 9 years
- Vehicle to be supplied by a licensed dealer or wholesaler (no private sales)
